Privacy policy

Here, in plain language, is what data FinanceFlow keeps, what for, and what you can do with it.

1. Who looks after your data

FinanceFlow is responsible for the data in your account (the controller, in the words of the GDPR and of Brazil’s LGPD). You can reach us through the channels published at appfinanceflow.com.

2. What we keep

Sign-up details: your name, email and the contact details you give us; the language, currency and color you chose; the status of your subscription.

What you enter: accounts, cards (only the name, color, brand, limit and closing and due days), categories, entries and savings goals.

Your profile photo, if you add one. It is shrunk on your device before it is sent, and where and when it was taken is not kept.

The minimum technical data needed for the service to work and stay secure, such as the date and time of access and the IP address.

3. What we never ask for or keep

Card numbers, expiry dates, security codes, bank passwords, bank statements or access to your bank account.

Sensitive data, such as health, religion, biometrics or political opinions. Avoid writing that kind of information in the names of your entries.

4. What we use it for

To make the app work: showing your balances, forecasts and charts.

To look after your account and your subscription and to talk to you about the service: maintenance notices, renewal reminders and news.

To keep the service secure and to comply with the law.

We do not sell your data, we do not show ads and we do not use your entries to build a spending profile.

5. Who can see it

Only you can see your entries. Each account is kept separate from the others inside the database itself.

The FinanceFlow admin panel shows sign-up and subscription details, never your entries, balances or savings goals.

Technical access to the database is restricted to the minimum number of people needed to keep the service running, and is used only for maintenance, security or when you ask for help.

Companies that provide services to us (hosting for the app and the database, sending emails and processing payments) handle the data only for that purpose, following our instructions.

6. Where it is kept and how it is protected

Data is always sent encrypted and is stored, also encrypted, on servers run by specialist companies, which may be outside your country.

Your password is stored in a way that not even our team can read.

No system is impossible to break into. If an incident happens that may affect you, we will tell you and the authorities, as the law requires.

7. For how long

For as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep, such as payment records.

8. Your rights

You can see, correct and delete your data, ask for a copy of it and withdraw your consent. You can do much of this yourself in the app; for the rest, just ask through the contact channels.

If you believe your data has not been handled properly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.

9. What stays on your device

The app keeps on your device only your preferences (language, currency, color and what you have already seen) and what is needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.

10. Children and teenagers

FinanceFlow is not intended for anyone under 18 without permission from a parent or guardian.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in an important way, we will let you know through the bell or by email before the change takes effect.
